Let, s Ps rate = v per hour
R, s rate = ( 2v - 1)
P walks total = ( 2 + 1/2) hour
R walks total = 2 hour
P, s distance = R's distance
v ×( 2 + 1/2) = 2 ( 2v - 1) = 4v - 2
v ×5/2 = 4v - 2
3v/2 = 2
v = 4/3 and R's distance = 4 ×4/3 - 3 = 3.33
