আমরা জানি যে, অবচয় ধার্য করা হয় স্থায়ী সম্পত্তির উপর। এক্ষেত্রে যে সম্পত্তির উপর অবচয় ধার্য করা হয় সে সম্পত্তির(A=Asset) ফেস ভ্যালু কমে যাবে এবং ব্যায় বৃদ্ধির কারণে ইক্যুইটি বা মূলধন(P=Principal) হ্রাস পাবে।
