একক ভগ্নাংশ ব্যতীত সকল ভগ্নাংশ Plural হয় যেমন: Obne - fift one seventh কিন্তু, Two - thirds, three - fifts এভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। আর Verb এর সাথে ব্যবহারের ক্ষেত্রে ভগ্নাংশ দ্বারা পরিমাণ বুঝালে Verb singular হয় এবং সংখ্যা বুঝালে Verb Plural হবে। এক্ষেত্রে ভগ্নাংশের সাথে ‘of' দ্বারা যুক্ত Noun টি Singular হলে Verb টিও Singular হবে। বাক্যের অর্থ: দুই - তৃতীয়াংশ আপেল পঁচা।
