A rolling stone gathers no moss. What "rolling" is?
Verb + ing কোনো noun (stone) কে modify করলে তাকে participle বলে।
কোন verb এর সাথে ing যুক্ত হয়ে যখন adjective এর কাজ করে তখন তাকে participle বলে। বাক্যে 'roll' verb এর সাথে ing যোগ হয় stone এর adjective হিসেবে কাজ করেছে।
Participle : Verb-এর যে form একই সাথে verb এবং adjective-এর কাজ করে তাকে Participle বলে । Participle তিন প্রকার। যথা :
1. Present Participle 2. Past Participle 3. Perfect Participle
