There was a different charming of Dhaka in 185 / 19th century. But the whole East Bengal was under privileged. All prosperity including education, initiation and trades were in Kolkata as the capital of Bangla was there. All wealth were transferred to the hand of Jaminder living in Kolkata, But their landholdings were in Bangladesh. To achieve its own distinction, there had been started a Dhaka centric movement from the beginning 20th century after a prolonged history of deprivation. On the whole perspective, British rulers were also cognizant that East Bengali people were truly being deprived. They were also informed about the non existence of any middle class in the East Bengal that can evolve their trades and business. They pointed out another big fault and it was education. Dhaka was awarded as the provincial capital when partition was taken place in 1905. Then Dhaka in true sense. People started keeping their eyes on to Dhaka who were out of this capital. Real renaissance had been started in the East Bengal at that time.
