There are a number of responses that correctly point to the infinitive go as the subjunctive or a reduced form of “should go” in the sentence: "I suggest that he go there." Similarly, one could say, "I insisted that he go there." Additional notes: with some verbs like suggest or recommend, if the object were you (either singular or plural) rather than he, the speaker could say: "I suggest going there."
