4X + 2(12 - X) = 32

4X + 24 - 2X = 32

or, 2x + 2y = 24 ....................... (1)
2x + 4y = 32 ............................ (2)
(2) - (1) we get,
2y = 8
or, y = 4 ......(3)
Now, from (1) and (3), we get,
x + 4 = 12
or, x = 12 - 4
or, x = 8
