Jonathan Swift, one of the greatest writers of prose, was born in 1667 in Dublin. While he was a member of Sir William Temple's household from 1689 to 1699, he read many books. He published the first edition of his powerful satire on corruptions in 1704, He earned the degree of Doctor of Divinity from Dublin University in 1701. He went to England in 1726 with a manuscript. He died in 1745.

Dr. Mohammad Qudrat-E-Khuda was a great scientist. He was born in 1900 in Birbhum, West Bengal. He was very meritorious. He obtained M.Sc. degree in Chemistry standing in first class from Presidency College, Kolkata. He obtained D.Sc. from London University in 1929. He worked in various significant posts of the government and was a visiting professor of Dhaka University. He was awarded with "Ekushe Padak" in 1976 and "Shadhinata Diabs Puroskar" in 1984. He died in 1977.
