Child Labour
Child labour refers to the mistreatment of children through any form of job or work that deprives them of their childhood. It is a serious violation of children's rights. According to the data of UNICEF, 168 million children aged 5-17 are engaged in child labour. The related scenario in Bangladesh has been exacerbating in the recent years. Due to the positive initiatives of the Bangladesh government, Primary school education is free for all the children here. However, parents from poor families need their children's assistance to earn more money to support the family. This is how they join the workforce though they are not old enough. They work hard from 8 am to 10 pm., sometimes 12-14 hours a day. They usually live in the same places where they work and wear shabby clothes. Their first and foremost aim is to support their family. They cannot aim high; they only know how to execute their work.
