CIRDAP গঠিত হয়- ৬ জুলাই ১৯৭৯ ।
CIRDAP এর সদস্য সংখ্যা- ১৫টি।
বাংলাদেশ, ভারত, ইন্দোনেশিয়া, শ্রীলংকা, নেপাল, থাইল্যান্ড, ভিয়েতনাম, ফিলিপাইন, পাকিস্তান, আফগানিস্তান, ইরান, লাওস, মালয়েশিয়া, মিয়ানমার ও ফিজি এর সদস্য দেশ।
এর সদর দপ্তর- ঢাকা (সুপ্রিম কোর্টের সম্মুখে চামেলী হাউসে)।
মাত্র ১২ জন নারী শিক্ষার্থী নিয়ে চামেলী হাউজে ১৯৩৮ সালে। রোকেয়া হল নামকরণ করা হয় ১৯৬৪ সালে।
