Direct speech এর Reported speech টির প্রসঙ্গ যদি 'প্রস্তাব রাখা' অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয় তাহলে Indirect speech এর স্থলে, 'Proposal' ব্যবহৃত হবে; that clause এর subject এর পর modal auxiliary 'should' ব্যবহৃত হবে এবং adverb 'now' then এ পরিবর্তিত হয়ে যাবে। Direct speech এ সাধারণত let us দ্বারা Proposal বোঝালে let us এর পরিবর্তে indirect speech এ we should বসে।
