বা,  $x = \frac{5 y}{8}$  
এবং  $y = \frac{8 x}{5}$ 
এখন, x   +   5 : y   +   8
 $= \frac{x + 5}{y + 8} = \frac{x + 5}{\frac{8 x}{5} + 8} = \frac{x + 5}{\frac{8 x + 40}{5}} = \frac{(x + 5) \times 5}{(x + 5) 8} = \frac{8}{8} 5 : 8$
