কখনও কখনও বাংলায় কোন কোন শব্দে শব্দে সমার্থবোধক একাধিক শব্দের প্রয়োগ লক্ষ্য করা যায়। এ ধরনের প্রয়োগের ফলে শব্দ ব্যাকরণগতভাবে দূষিত হয় পড়ে। যেমন:
অশ্রুজল
অশ্রু অর্থ চোখের জল । সুতরাং, একত্রে অশ্রুজল শব্দটিতে ঘটেছে ।
