Solve the following mathematical problems:
Sum of ages of mother and daughter is 60 years. 5 years ago, the ratio of their age were 4:1. What will be the ratio of their age after 10 years?
(Age)5 years age, mother's age was 4x years & daughter's age was x years
∴There present age will be (4x + 5) and (x + 5) years respectively.
According to the question,
4x + 5 + x + 5 = 60
=5x + 10 = 60
= 5x = 60 - 10

After 10 years, they will be = (4x + 5 + 10) : (x + 5 + 10) = (4 10 + 5 + 10) : (10 + 5 + 10)
= (40 + 15) : 25 = 55 : 25 = 11 : 5
