‘Do call a taxi’ What kind of sentence is this?

When we make a request, offer advice, issue a command, or give an instruction, we use the imperative mood. Sentences that use the imperative mood are known as imperative sentences. To put it bluntly, an imperative sentence is a sentence that tells somebody to do something.

Imperative sentence এর বক্তব্যটি (আদেশ, অনুরোধ, উপদেশ) Second person বা 'you' কে লক্ষ্য করে বলা হয়। কিন্তু এই 'you' বাক্যে উহ্য থাকে। অর্থাৎ Imperative sentence এর Subject হলো Second person (you) যা উহ্য থকে। Sentence শুরু হয় Principal verb (verb + extension) দিয়ে। Verb এর পরবর্তী সমস্ত অংশকে এখানে Extension বলা হচ্ছে।
