A wink can be a way of calling or indicating that the person is joking. A nod signifies approval, while the act of shaking the head left and right indicates a negative reaction. Other forms of non-linguistic language can be found in the Braille system, signal flags and visual codes. Road maps and picture signs also guide, warn and instruct people.
