In a wave of bombings and shootings across Paris, gunmen and suicide bombers killed at least 129 people at a concert hall, restaurants and the national sports stadium on 13 November, the deadliest day of attacks in France since World War II. Eight militants, all wearing suicide vests, brought unprecedented violence to the streets of the French capital. Armed with AK47s, four of the group marched into a rock concert at the Bata clan venue in eastern Paris and murdered at least 87 people. Some 42 more people were killed in five other attacks, including a double suicide bombing outside the State de France national stadium. All eight attackers expired during the assaults.
