ব্যাখ্যাঃ

Window dressing in a bank refers to the practice of manipulating financial statements, such as balance sheets, to make the bank's financial position appear more attractive or robust than it actually is to shareholders or regulators. This is typically done near the end of a quarter or financial year by temporarily inflating deposit numbers or enhancing liquidity figures.

How it works: Banks may, for instance, mobilize large, short-term deposits or engage in short-term borrowing right before the closing date to make the bank look larger and more liquid.
Purpose: The main aim is to improve the appearance of the figures before presenting them to clients, investors, or regulators.
Ethical status: While it might not always be illegal, it is generally considered an unethical and misleading accounting practice.

Therefore, the correct option is D. The mechanism to show inflated deposit for the time being.
