<p>Let, </p> <p>total No. of students = x</p> <p>No. of students lived in hostel = x × 80% = 0.8x</p> <p>No.of Lucky students = 0.8x × 60% = 0.8x × 0.6 = 0.48x</p> <p>According to question, </p> <p>0.48x = 1200</p> <p>x = (1200 ×100)/048</p> <p>x = 2500</p>
