Abu Sayeed was born in Bamanpur village in Pirganj Upazila, Rangpur. His parents were Maqbul Hossain and Monowara Begum.
He was killed by police on 16 July 2024 during a quota reform protest. He died before he could be taken to the hospital.
He was a very brilliant student and achieved GPA-5 in both SSC and HSC examination. He also won a scholarship from his local primary school.
Abu Sayeed's father is Maqbul Hossain and his mother is Monowara Begum. He was the youngest of nine siblings in his family.
