The present age is called the age of information and mass media is the most effective instrument of sharing information. With the availability of technology and communication tools, the role and influence of mass media have become inextricable. In fact, they have very conspicuous impact on every aspect of our lives, our knowledge, our culture, our life style, policy making and many more. But what we need to know is that what is provided us with as being the sources of knowledge is not always innocent presentations. When the European colonized Africa, they called it a dark continent. They levelled it as the land of barbarous people. But actually, they are the people who invaded other people's land, exploited them and inflicted all inhuman tortures. The colonial authority looted those colonized lands and enriched themselves by making those lands barren. But nowhere in texts the European authors or the internalized native writers brought the realities into light. Even in present days, what information we get are not free from fabrications. In all respects, it is upon us to benefit or harm from media, to evaluate and judge the messages.
