Michael Madhusudan Dutt was a popular Bengali poet and dramatist of the 19th century. He has written the first Bangla epic Meghnad Badh Kabya.
From carly age Michael's ambition was to be an Englishman in manner and posture.
He returned to his homeland after his realization that he was a sojourner in Europe and his true identity lay in Bengal. That's why he started writing in Bangla.
When he failed to gain popularity from the English society, he composed thesonnet Kopotaksha Nad' out of frustration.
After going to Europe, Michael started composing poems and plays in English. But he failed to gain proper appreciation as he was not as a native English writer. This made Michael realize himself as a sojourner in Europe.
Madhusudan wanted to grow himself as an Englishman in form and manner. So he imitated the English in various ways.
Madhusudan practised Christianity in his middle age since he converted when he was a young man.
His college inspired him to imitate the English in every manner because they were giving him English education and teaching him European literature.
His intellectual ability was reflected while writing poems and plays in English. His level was high in these sectors of English literature.
After coming back to Bengal Madhusudan realized that his true identity lay here and that he was sojourner in Europe:
Madhusudan composed a number of English poetry and plays that showed higher level of intellectual ability. Yet he could not get recognition. So he was frustrated.
Being failed to gain the right appreciation in English literature he composed the poem 'Kopotaksha Nad' in Bangla. This earned him huge reputation. This made him realize that his true identity lies in this Bengal. Then he came back to Bengal and devoted himself to Bangla literature. This incident proves that he truly left his fascination for Europe.
Dutt's early exposure to English education and European literature at home and his college encouraged him to be a true English man.
During his stay in Europe, Michael Madhusudan Dutt composed a number of English poetry and drama which proved his higher level of intellectual ability, yet he failed to acquire his coveted recognition in Europe. The negligence of the English society frustrated Michael Madhusudan Dutt.

The three brothers are great bocause in spite of being highly educated, they are living in their village. They have never forgotten their roots. Rather they stick to their own roots which they love wholeheartedly. They have been torch bearers for others.
City life did not attract Mr. Islam. He believes he has duty to his soil that has made him what he is.
Islam brothers could avail all the opportunities of city life. They could have illustrious career but they left to serve their villages to serve their community. So, they can be considered great men.
