Let's save our planet!

Everyone must play a part in protecting the environment. There are many things you can do on your own every day to help save the planet. Here are some suggestions.

REDUCE!

Really, the best thing we can do for the planet is to use its resources properly. Our unplanned activities are mainly responsible for the environmental crisis. Here are some questions you can ask yourself before buying something. "Do I really need this?" or "Is there another product which would do the same thing but is more sustainable? or ask the question, "Will this last a long time?" Some other questions may be, "Do I know how this item was made, how it will be used and how it will be disposed of?

REUSE!

What do you think of using your own ceramic cup or mug at your school or local club? It means there are no plastic cups to throw away. You can wash it and reuse it every day. Unfortunately, we are encouraged to buy a new improved item even if the one we have can be repaired or reused. When we buy things, we should buy those that are durable; we should use them properly, and have them repaired when necessary. If we practise this, many things will not only last a lifetime, but also be passed on for future use. However, if something is truly unusable for its original purposes, try to be more creative and think of how else it might be used. When you're done with it. think of whether someone else might be able to use it. You can donate some of the things to the poor. You may also sell some of your used items through personal advertisements in a local newspaper or in social media.

RECYCLE!

Rather than throwing an item out when neither you nor anyone else can make use of it. have it recycled. And if recycling is not possible, it is better to send goods to a landfill or have them burned up. Find out what types of materials can be recycled in your area. Clean and sort the materials before putting them out in the bin, Recveling your drink and food cans means there will be less trash in a resource recovery facility or landfill. Moreover, a company can use the old cans to make new ones.

Answer the following questions.

Do you think recycling can contribute to the development of our country? How?

Updated: 11 months ago
উত্তরঃ

Yes, recycling can significantly contribute to the development of our country in several ways. It plays a crucial role in promoting environmental sustainability and economic growth.

Firstly, recycling helps in reducing waste and pollution. By diverting materials from landfills, it lessens the burden on waste management systems and reduces land, water, and air pollution, creating a cleaner and healthier environment for citizens. This improves public health and the overall quality of life, which are essential for national development.

Secondly, recycling leads to resource conservation. Instead of extracting new raw materials, recycled materials can be used to produce new products. This saves valuable natural resources like trees, minerals, and fossil fuels, ensuring their availability for future generations and reducing the country's dependency on importing raw materials. The passage explicitly states, "a company can use the old cans to make new ones," which exemplifies resource conservation.

Thirdly, recycling can foster economic growth and job creation. The recycling industry involves various stages, including collection, sorting, processing, and manufacturing new goods from recycled materials. This entire value chain creates numerous job opportunities, from informal waste pickers to skilled workers in recycling plants. It can also lead to the establishment of new industries and businesses, contributing to the country's GDP and economic diversification.

Finally, recycling contributes to energy conservation. Often, manufacturing products from recycled materials requires less energy than producing them from virgin raw materials. For instance, making aluminium cans from recycled aluminium uses significantly less energy than making them from bauxite ore. Energy savings translate into reduced production costs and lower greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with sustainable development goals.

উত্তরঃ

It is necessary to save our planet because human activities, particularly unplanned ones, are leading to a significant environmental crisis. This crisis threatens the availability of natural resources crucial for sustaining life and severely impacts the overall balance of the ecosystem.

By actively working to save the planet, we aim to prevent further environmental degradation, conserve finite resources, and ensure a healthy environment for all living beings. Practices such as reducing consumption, reusing items, and recycling waste are vital strategies that help minimize pollution, decrease the amount of trash in landfills, and promote the sustainable use of materials.

Ultimately, safeguarding our planet is essential for securing a livable future. It ensures that future generations will have access to clean air, water, and the necessary resources to thrive, while also preserving the rich biodiversity that contributes to the planet's ecological health.
