WWF stands for World Wide Fund for Nature. It is one of the leading conservation organizations of the world whose mission is to preserve the natural environment and create harmony between nature and humans. The organization was established on 29 April 1961. It opened its first office in the Swiss town of Morges and is registered under Swiss law. It has offices in more than 80 countries around the world and it employs around 6000 full-time employees. Apart from the full-time employees, it is supported by around 5 million members globally.
