To Rescue a Drowning Girl

Tamim, a student of class ten, was returning from school. On the way, he saw some boys and girl bathing in the pond. Suddenly he heard a girl shouting "Help! Help! save me!"
Tamim at once ran to the spot and without the least delay he jumped into the pond and swam to the best of his ability. As he reached the drowning girl, he first raised his face above the water level so that she could breathe. Then he placed her upon his shoulders and quickly swam back to the edge of the pond.

Tamim knew what to do as he learnt from his uncle, who is a village doctor, how to give first aids to any drowning person. He acted accordingly and soon the girl came to senses. In the meantime, many villagers gathered round him. The parents of the little girl also came running with tearful eyes. Tamim assured them that their child was beyond danger. They became so happy that they could not speak anything. They only began to cry out of joy. When Tamim was about to leave the place, they blessed him from the core of their hearts and requested him to visit their house any day he liked. He agreed and left the place for home with a happy heart.
