The Reward of an Honest Rickshaw Puller

Once there lived a poor rickshawpuller. He had to maintain his family consisting of eight members with great difficulty. One day while walking through the fields, he found a purse dropped by a passer-by. He took the purse with a view to returning it to its owner.

In the meantime when the owner found his purse missing, he was at a loss. He did not know what to do. He searched everywhere but all his attempts failed. He thought about all the things kept in his purse: his driving licence, passport, and some 10,000 taka. He thought he lost everything. He felt very upset.

Thon he got a call on his mobile. It was the rickshaw puller. The rickshaw puller contacted the owner of the purse over mobile phone. The man instantly came to the rickshaw's address and met him. The rickshaw puller handed over the purse to the man. The man could not think anything. The rickshaw puller's generosity moved him greatly. He expressed his gratitude to the rickshaw puller. He thought such generosity must certainly be rewarded. So he rewarded the rickshaw puller with some amount of money though the rickshaw puller did not want any return.

The story gives us the moral that generosity comes from the mind. Greedy people lack generosity. Helpful people extend the hand by establishing example of generosity.
