Samuel Taylor Coleridge was born in 1772 in Devonshire. From there at six, he attended a 'dame' school. At the age of nine, his father died. At ten, he was sent to the charity school of Christ's Hospital, London. He was pessimistic in nature but studied a lot. He had read more books than a professor had before he entered Cambridge as a charity student at his nineteen. He remained there for nearly three years. He left Cambridge without taking his degree in 1794. 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' is Coleridge's chief contribution to the 'Lyrical Ballads' published in 1798. It is one of the world's masterprieces. His collection 'Lectures on Shakespeare' came out in 1819 and 'Aids to Recollection' in 1825. Coleridge died in 1834 and was buried in High Gate Church.

He completed his B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering and M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering. In July, 1969, he launched the Apollo 11 mission to the moon with his team. He was the commander of the mission.
