Object Pronouns

Object pronoun, subject pronoun এর বিপরীত। Subject pronoun এবং object pronoun এর form ভিন্নরকম।

Object pronoun গুলো হলঃ Me, us, him, her, them, it.

• Ratul loves her.
• You should warn them.
• Please, take it seriously.

যেসব Pronoun বাক্যে Object (কর্ম) হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়, তাদের Object Pronoun বলে। এরা সাধারণত Verb বা Preposition-এর পরে বসে থাকে।

২. ব্যবহারের প্রধান নিয়মাবলী:

ক) Verb-এর পরে: বাক্যে যখন কোনো ক্রিয়ার কাজ কারো ওপর গিয়ে পড়ে, তখন সেখানে Object Pronoun বসে।

• Example: I saw him in the market. (I saw 'he' হবে না)

• Example: She called them for dinner.

খ) Preposition-এর পরে: যেকোনো Preposition (যেমন: to, for, with, between, among, by) এর পরে সবসময় Pronoun এর Objective রূপ বসে।

• Example: This gift is for me.

• Example: There is no secret between you and me. (you and 'I' হবে না)

গ) Let-এর পরে: 'Let' দিয়ে শুরু হওয়া বাক্যে সবসময় Object Pronoun ব্যবহৃত হয়।

• Example: Let us go for a walk.

• Example: Let him finish the work.

ঘ) Than এবং As-এর পর (Formal vs Informal): তুলনা করার ক্ষেত্রে 'Than' বা 'As'-এর পর সাধারণত Subject Pronoun বসানো ব্যাকরণগতভাবে শুদ্ধ (যেমন: He is taller than I)। তবে আধুনিক ইংরেজিতে এবং ইনফরমাল ক্ষেত্রে Object Pronoun-এর ব্যবহারও বহুল প্রচলিত।

• Example: He is as tall as me.

৩. Who বনাম Whom:

প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্যে বা রিলেটিভ Pronoun হিসেবে যখন 'Object' জানতে চাওয়া হয়, তখন 'Whom' বসে।

• Example: Whom did you invite?

• Example: The girl whom you met is my cousin.

সচরাচর ভুল হওয়া কিছু প্রয়োগ (Correct vs Incorrect):

• Incorrect: Wait for Armin and I.

• Correct: Wait for Armin and me. (Preposition 'for' এর পর objective হয়)

• Incorrect: Let he do the task.

• Correct: Let him do the task. (Let এর পর objective হয়)

• Incorrect: It was a secret between she and he.

• Correct: It was a secret between her and him. (Between এর পর objective হয়)
