Why did the hare and the tortoise call their friends?

The hare called the tortoise to hurry up to walk and run fast because the tortoise was walking so slowly.

The hare was asleep under a tree near the finish line.

After crossing the finish line, the tortoise looked back and smiled at the hare. Then he said "slow but steady wins the race."

In a few minutes he was out of sight and reached near the finish line. Then he took a nap.

The tortoise walked steadily, on and on. He did not stop anywhere, soon crossed the finish line, and won the race.

The tortoise invited the hare to run a race.
