Why is it necessary to save our planet?

As consumers buy things without thinking about the sustainability, necessity, using and disposing of the products, they make the environment polluted. So the author blames them for the environmental crisis.

Before buying the things, I can ask myself four questions: (i) Do I really need it? (ii) Is there any thing more sustainable? (iii) Will this be durable? (iv) How will it be used and disposed of?

Yes, I think recycling can contribute to the development of our country. Because the practice of recycling can significantly reduce the quantity of waste materials. Moreover, these waste materials can be used in companies to make new products. Thus, recycling plants can be set up that can contribute to the economy of the country.

We can cut down our shopping list if we are a bit conscious or strategic. If we develop the habit or culture of reuse, we can easily do so.

To reuse things, we have to wash, clean and repair the unusable things if necessary. Even if something is unusable for its original purpose, we can try to be more creative to use it for another purpose.

The household goods, clothes and toys which have been used enough but still can serve the purpose of the poor or the needy can be donated.
