Games and sports are helpful to remain healthy. Football is a very useful and interesting game. This game came from England. Nowadays, it is an international game and is played in almost all countries of the world. Actually, football is an outdoor game. It is a very exciting game of 90 minutes. There is a break after 45 minutes. It is not a costly and time-killing game. The game of football needs a field and two goalposts. Cricket, table tennis, lawn tennis, etc. are very costly and time-killing games. But football does not cost us much money or kill much of our time.
To play football, a field of about 120 yards long and 80 yards wide and two goal posts at each end are needed. Two teams play in this game. Each team consists of eleven players. It is played by kicking the ball with foot. During the game only the goalkeeper can touch the ball with hands. The players can also head the ball.
Henceforth, the referee with two linemen conducts the game. Everything is supervised by the referee while the game is played. In this game, the team which scores more goals becomes the winner.
Every player has to abide by the above mentioned rules. The referee ensures that the rules are followed during the game. The decision of the referee is final in all matters in the field.
In our country it is very popular. In all towns and cities and also in rural areas we play football. No game is so exciting as football. It thrills not only the players but also the spectators. For all these reasons, football is my favourite game and I like it most.
However, football is a game of great interest and enjoyment. It makes the limbs of our body strong and helps in proper blood circulation. It certainly keeps the players fit and active. It teaches us discipline, team spirit and unity.
Football is my favourite game because of its much charm and importance. It makes me thrilled when I watch it. Really, it is a game after my heart.
