A Carpenter

A carpenter is the person who makes furniture and repairs things made from wood. He is generally hired by the people to make chairs, tables, pira (low stool) and other furniture. He is also asked to do small repair work. Though a carpenter is illiterate, he is very skilled in his job. He has to work hard. But he does not find work every day. For this, he has to live from hand to mouth. Often he has to work in rough weather to complete his job. A carpenter leads a very poor life. If he becomes sick or fails to get a job, his family has to starve. A carpenter is a very important worker in the society. It is the carpenter who makes furniture for us and decorates our houses. He makes different things for our comforts. Though he works from dawn to dusk, he lives a hard life. So, we all should come forward to help him.
