A Rainy Day

A rainy day is a day when it rains almost all day long. Such a day is dull with drizzling and torrential rainfall. The sky often remains cloudy and it is dark all around. The day itself is gloomy. The roads become muddy and slippery. One cannot go out without an umbrella. Sometimes, the roads and fields go under water and people face serious problems 10 reach their homes or working places. In cities, sometimes, roads are flooded with rain water and then open manholes become very dangerous because people cannbt trace where they are under water. Children cannot attend their school or go out to play. Birds and animals remain in their respective nests and sheds. But, the poor suffer a lot as rainwater comes into their huts. They cannot go out for work. So, some of them remain unfed. However, I feel very happy on a rainy day and sometimes I become a poet with the rhythm of torrent.
