A School Library

The word 'library' came from Latin word 'libra', which means a book. So, library is a collection of books, papers, magazines, etc. It is the storehouse of knowledge. Our school library has about 50 thousand books on different subjects. There are 3 big tables and a large number of chairs. The books are arranged subjectwise in the shelves. There is a catalogue box to find the list of books and their accession numbers. There is an attendant who helps the students and teachers to find out the books. The condition of our school library is not very good. The reading room is very small and it is not well-ventilated. Most of the books are old and damaged. The reading room should be expanded. There should be more windows and ventilators for circulation of air. New books should be collected and the old ones should be replaced. A school library is very important for the students. They can go there and read books of their interest.
