Factitive verb
Transitive verb এর object থাকা সত্ত্বেও যদি object পরবর্তী noun/noun phrase/adjective (complement) এর সাহায্য ছাড়া বাক্য পূর্ণ না হয়, তখন ঐ বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত verb কে factitive verb বলে।
List of factitive verbs:
Elect - নির্বাচিত করা; Select বাছাই করা; Make- বানানো; Appoint- নিয়োগ দেওয়া; Call - নাম ধরে ডাকা; Name- নাম রাখা; Crown- বিশেষ উপাধিতে ভূষিত করা; Label- আখ্যা দেওয়া; Nominate- মনোনিত করা; Think- ভাবা; Choose পছন্দ করা.
They elected me captain.
We called him a fool.
I think Shakespeare a great poet.
I consider him faithful.
