<p>The general had 7250 men.</p><p>After forming a solid square he found that he had 95 men over (extra). So (7250-95) = 7155 men.</p><p>In the options, 100<sup>2</sup>=10000 which is more than 7155, and also 50<sup>2</sup>= 2500 is less than 7155. So the answer is none.</p><p>Special note: 7155 is not a solid square number.</p>
