<p>Here, 2:25 pm to 3:15 pm = 50 minutes</p> <p>Time taken by bus = 50 - (30 + 10) = 10 minutes = 10/60 hour = 1/6 hour</p> <p>The man walked for = 30 minutes = 30/60 hour = 1/2 hour</p> <p>He walked = 3×1/2 = 3/2 miles</p> <p>So, speed of the bus = 3/2 ÷ (1/6) = <strong>9 miles per hour</strong></p>
