Descrption
Noun Phrase এমন একটি group of words, যা বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত হয়ে noun - এর কাজ করে। যেমন - We enjoy playing cricket. Infinitive phrase - এ head word হিসেবে থাকে একটি infinitive অর্থাৎ to + verb। যেমন - To read a newspaper is good habit । এরুপ phrase noun, modifier বা verb - এর complement হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। Preposition + noun phrase মিলে prepositional phrase গঠিত হয়। যেসব Prepositional phrase - এর প্রথমে এবং শেষে Prepositon থাকে সেগুলো sentence - এ Prepositional phrase কেবল গঠনের দিক থেকে prepositional কিন্তু এরা sentence - এ adjective বা adverb - এর কাজ করে। verb phrase হলো lexical বা মূল verb এবং auxiliary verb - এর সমন্বয়ে গঠিত phrase , যার head word হলো মূল verb। যেমন - I shall go there. প্রশ্নে উল্লিখিত বাক্যে ' wait' verb - এর modifier হিসেবে for the bus বসেেছে। অর্থাৎ verb - এর পরে noun বসেছে। সুতরাং for the bus অংশটি noun phrase । অতএব সঠিক উত্তর ক।
