For the millions of rural people in Bangladesh Dhaka remains an attractive destination. Compared to other Places in the country, it offers the best chance of economic opportunity. Anyone can make some kind of a living in Dhaka. It rarely takes more than 2 to 3 days to start earning. The kinship network among the migrant poor is the major key to these phenomena. Though mostly unskilled, Dhaka’s seemingly unlimited supply of cheap labor, especially women, has in recent years been a boon for export oriented industrial growth and other activities. The working class in Dhaka ts remarkable for it ingenuity, innovation and technology adaptation.
