'কালাপানি' অমীমাংসিত ভূখণ্ডটি ভারত ও নেপালের মধ্যে অবস্থিত । এ ভূখন্ডটি নেপালের মহাকালী এবং ভারতের উত্তরখণ্ড সীমানায় অবস্থিত । ১৯৬২ সালের ভারত - চীন যুদ্ধের পর থেকে এটা ভারতের ইন্দো - তিব্বতিয সীমান্ত নিরাপত্তা বাহিনী নিয়ন্ত্রণ করে আসছে ।
