A machine P can print out one lakh books in 8 hours. Machine Q can print the same number of books in 10 hours while machine R can print them in 12 hours. All the machines are started at 9 A.M.While machine P is stopped at 11 A.M. and remaining two machines completed the work. Approximately at what at what time will the work time (to print one lakh books) be finished?

Machine P in 1 hour can print 1/8 of te books
Machine Q in 1 hour can print 1/10 of te books
Machine R in 1 hour can print 1/12 of te books
Together in 1 hour they can print = 1/8 + 1/10 + 1/12 = (15 + 12 + 10)/120 = 37/120 of the books
They worked altogether from 9am to 11am = 2 hours
So, together they printed = 37/120×2 = 37/60 of the books
Remaining books to be printed = 1 - 37/60 = 23/60 of the books
Now, machine Q and R together can print (1/10 + 1/12 = ) 11/60 of the books in 1 hour
So, they can print 23/60 of the books in 1×(23/60)×(60/11) = 2.09 hours = 125 min
So, printing will be finished at 9am + 125min = 11:05am approximately.
