Each of the fill pipes can fill the tank is 8 hrs.
Therefore, each of them will fill th of the tank in one hour.
Hence, n fill pipes will fill th of the tank in one hour.
Similarly, (8 - n) waste pipes will drain th of the pipe in one hour.
Between the fill pipes and waste pipes, they drain - in 6 hrs.
So,
14n - 64 = - 8
14n = 56
