নতুন পুলিশ একাডেমি নির্মাণের উদ্যোগ নিয়েছেন বাংলাদেশ পুলিশ সদর দপ্তর। নতুন একাডেমির নাম হবে ‘বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব ন্যাশনাল পুলিশ একাডেমি’ । ঢাকার আশেপাশেই নির্মান করা হবে এ একাডেমি। উল্লেখ্য, দেশের একমাত্র পুলিশ একাডেমি অবস্থিত রাজশাহীর সারদায়, যা ব্রিটিশ আমলে নির্মিত।
