বর্তমান মূল্য 140 টাকা হলে পূর্ব মূল্য 100 টাকা
বর্তমান মূল্য 126 টাকা হলে পূর্ব মূল্য ( 100/140 × 126) = 90 টাকা
এখন, পূর্বে 100 টাকায় পাওয়া যেত 10 kg তেল
পূর্বে 90 টাকায় পাওয়া যেত ( 10/100 × 90) = 9 kg তেল
অর্থাৎ, বর্তমান ব্যবহার 9 kg ।
