সংগ্রাহক ও লেখক আবদুল করিমকে সাহিত্য কৃতির স্বীকৃতিস্বরুপ ১৯০৯ সালে সাহিত্য বিশারদ ও ১৯২০ সালে সাহিত্য সাগর উপাধিতে ভূষিত করা হয়। গবেষণাকর্মে অসামান্য অবদান রাখায় বাংলাদেশ সরকার ১৯৯৫ সালে তাকে মরণোওর স্বাধীনতা পুরস্কার প্রদান করে।
