দেওয়ানী কার্যবিধি ১৯০৮ - এর ৮৯ ক(১) ধারা মধ্যস্হতা সম্পর্কে বর্ণিত হয়েছে। এই ধারা অনুসারে After filling written statement the court shall refer the dispute for mediation গ্রহণযোগ্য। কেননা এই ধারায় মধ্যস্হতাকারী মামলার বিরোধ আপোষে নিষ্পত্তি করতে সহায়তা করেন।
