If 150 is increased by 60% and then decreased by x percent the result is 192. What is x ?

Since at first increase by 60% so the number is 150 + 150 × 60/100 = 240
Again, since decrease by x% then we get 240 - 240 × x/100 = 192
= ) 240 - 12x/5 = 192
= ) 12x/5 = 240 - 192
= ) x = 48×5/12
So x = 20
