ধরে, সাইকেল চালানোর দূরত্ব  =  x কিমি
সাইকেল ঠেলে নেয়ার দূরত্ব  =  (7 - x) কিমি।
আমরা জানি, Time  =   $\frac{D i s \tan c e}{S p e e d}$ 
প্রশ্নমতে,  $\frac{x}{10} + \frac{7 - x}{3} = \frac{7}{6} \frac{3 x + 70 - 10 x}{30} = \frac{7}{6} \frac{3 x + 70 - 10 x}{5} = \frac{7}{1}$ 
3x  +  70 - 10x = 35
 - 7x  =  35 - 70
 - 7x  =   - 35
 - 7x  =   - 35
x =   $\frac{35}{7}$ 
সুতরাং x  =  5
সুতরাং সাইকেলকে ঠেলে নেয়ার দূরতও (7 - x) = (7 - 5)  =  2 কিমি।
