মাকসুদুল আলম (১৪ ডিসেম্বর ১৯৫৪ - ২০ ডিসেম্বর ২০১৪) ছিলেন একজন বাংলাদেশি জিনতত্ত্ববিদ। তাঁর নেতৃত্বে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, বাংলাদেশ পাট গবেষণা ইনস্টিটিউট ও তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি প্রতিষ্ঠান ডাটাসফটের একদল গবেষকের যৌথ প্রচেষ্টায় ২০১০ সালের মাঝামাঝি সময়ে সফলভাবে উন্মোচিত হয় পাটের জিন নকশা ।
