ব্যাংক খাতে নারীদের ভালো করার ক্ষেত্রে প্রতিবন্ধকতা ও চ্যালেঞ্জ থাকা সত্ত্বেও নারীরা ভালো করছেন, যদিও করোনাকালে দেশের ব্যাংকিং খাতে নারীদের কর্মসংস্থান হ্রাস পেয়েছে। বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের তথ্যানুসারে, ২০২০ সালের জুন মাসে ১৮ দশমিক ৭ শতাংশের বিপরীতে ২০২১ সালের জুন পর্যন্ত নারা কর্মীর অনুপাত দাঁড়িয়েছে ১৫ দশমিক ৮ শতাংশ। নারীরা কাজে ফাঁকি দেন কম। ভালো করতে হলে সবাইকে কাজ শিখতে হবে, থাকতে হবে জানার আগ্রহ। সময়ের সঙ্গে তাল মেলাতে হলে অবিরাম যোগ্যতা, দক্ষতা ও কর্মতৎপরতা বাড়াতে হবে।

= Despite the obstacles and challenges that women face in the banking sector, women are doing well, although employment in the country's banking sector has declined in recent times. According to the data of Bangladesh Bank, the ratio of women workers has stood at 15.6 percent till June 2021 as against 18.6 percent in June 2020. Women cheat less at work. In order to do well, everyone has to learn to work, to have an interest in knowing. In order to keep pace with the times, one has to constantly increase one's qualifications, skills and efficiency.

In January this year, both sale of savings certificates and the government's net debt increased about 35.37% compared to the previous month. Customers bought savings certificates worth Tk. 9,966 crore in January, which was Tk. 7,362 crore in December 2021. In the wake of the new profit rate set in August last year, the sale of savings certificates and the amount of net debt of the government decreased for three consecutive months. The government repaid more loans than the sales of savings certificates in December last year, paying an extra Tk. 436 crore. As a result, after one month, the government's net debt rose to Tk.. 2.586 crore, which was about seven times more than the previous month.

= চলতি বছরের জানুয়ারিতে সঞ্চয়পত্র বিক্রি এবং সরকারের নিট ঋণ উভয়ই আগের মাসের তুলনায় প্রায় ৩৫.৩৭ শতাংশ বেড়েছে। গ্রাহকরা জানুয়ারিতে ৯,৯৬৬ কোটি টাকার সঞ্চয়পত্র কিনেছেন যা ২০২১ সালের ডিসেম্বরে ছিল ৭৩৬২ কোটি টাকা। গত বছরের আগস্টে নতুন মুনাফার হার নির্ধারণের পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে, সঞ্চয়পত্র বিক্রি এবং টানা তিন মাস সরকারের নিট ঋণের পরিমাণ কমেছে। গত বছরের ডিসেম্বরে সঞ্চয়পত্র বিক্রির চেয়েও বেশি ঋণ পরিশোধ করেছে সরকার, অতিরিক্ত পরিশোধ করেছে ৪৩৬ কোটি টাকা। ফলে এক মাস পর সরকারের নিট ঋণ বেড়ে দাঁড়ায় ২৫৮৬ কোটি টাকা, যা আগের মাসের তুলনায় প্রায় সাত গুণ বেশি।

All through history there have been wars, yet mankind has survived, developed, and became civilized in spite of them. But unfortunately, as part of his development, man has learned to tap the hidden forces of our planet and use them for his purposes. Now, if his purposes are those of destruction, each fresh advance in his mastery of nature only increases the danger from war, as men learn to destroy one another in ever greater numbers, from ever greater distances, and in ever more varied and ingenious ways. Man has now discovered how to release the forces locked up in the atom. In consequence, the leading nations of the world are now making atom bombs which would almost certainly be widely used. Nobody knows what the effect of dropping such bombs on a large scale would be, but it is quite possible that the total destruction of the world and its civilization might ensue. As somebody has jokingly remarked, in the next war, men will fight with atom bombs and in the war after that with bows and arrows. 

= We survived, developed and civilized tapping the hidden forces of our planet. The more we developed, the more we learned the technique how to destroy mankind in ingenious ways. So humanity should guide scientific advancement.
